There is not a single redeemable character in this novel. To be completely honest, I hated the characters. Gypse Rose Blanchard was told by her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, that she had a variety of illnesses that she did not have. In case you’re unfamiliar with the story, here is a basic rundown. I noticed a lot of similarities between this book and the story of Gypsy Rose (ahem) Blanchard. But, sometimes, the flowers that seem brittle are the ones that hold the most poison.
